Welcome to The 1st COMSOCIA 2026

The International Conference on Communication, Society & Digital Media (COMSOCIA 2026) is an international academic conference organized by the Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Communication and Informatics, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), Indonesia.

The conference aims to provide a rigorous scholarly forum for the dissemination of high-quality research findings, the exchange of theoretical and empirical insights, and the development of sustainable academic networks among scholars, researchers, and practitioners addressing contemporary challenges in communication, society, and digital media. Through this platform, COMSOCIA 2026 seeks to enhance research visibility, foster international collaboration, and support the publication of impactful academic work.

    This area addresses strategic communication practices, organizational communication, public relations, and governance models in digital and data-driven contexts.
  • Digital Political Communication and Democratic Engagement
    This sub-theme examines political communication, digital campaigning, public participation, algorithmic influence, and democratic processes in online environments.
  • ⁠⁠Social Collaboration and Community Engagement
    Research under this theme investigates how digital platforms facilitate collective action, civic engagement, community resilience, and social innovation.
  • ⁠⁠Communication, Creativity, and Social Innovation in the Digital Economy
    This theme focuses on creative communication practices, digital entrepreneurship, and innovation ecosystems within the digital economy.
  • Culture, Identity, Gender, and Social Interaction in Digital Communication
    This area addresses identity construction, cultural representation, intercultural communication, gender perspectives, and social interaction in digital and mediated spaces.
